Why Mobile Matters

Why does “mobile” matter?

Mobile matters if you are trying to reach more people. A significant – and growing – segment of your clients, prospects, and audience is using mobile devices to search and surf online.  And that segment is expected to quadruple over the next five years.

The number of mobile devices is growing exponentially.  To put it in perspective, on average there are:

  • 317,124 births per day; and
  • 1.45 million mobile devices (smart phones and tablets) sold and activated per day.

The stakes are high.

46 percent of mobile web users are unlikely to return to a website that they had trouble accessing from their phone and 57 percent are unlikely to recommend the site.  And 40% of users have turned to a competitor’s site after a bad mobile experience.

So, getting back to the question about why mobile matters, it’s very simple: if people are going to interact with your business/your website using a mobile device, you need to present your image and your message to them effectively.

15 years ago, owners of small and medium-size businesses were asking themselves whether or not it was worth the effort to develop a website.  I don’t think there’s a person on Earth who would look back on that and argue that building a web presence wasn’t worth every bit of time and money.  Now, we’re at a similar juncture – and an exciting one!  Mobile devices not only bring the web closer to users, but they potentially bring your message to your audience in a much more convenient and personal way, untethered from their computers.  Folks, the time has come to embrace mobile.

And we are here to help!  Give us a call and let’s talk.
